Four principles

These commitments govern what the project publishes and what it refuses to publish.

§ 01

Vendor-neutral

No sponsored placements. No paid rankings. Vendors cannot pay to alter catalog entries or benchmark scores.

§ 02

Open methodology

Every benchmark ships with its prompts, traces, evaluation criteria, and a reproducible run script. Results are dated.

§ 03

Practitioner-led

Maintained by working analytics engineers and data practitioners. Contributions happen through pull requests, not press cycles.

§ 04

Open standards first

The reference architecture privileges open specifications: MCP, MetricFlow, Iceberg, OpenLineage. Proprietary tooling is documented, not recommended by default.

Five layers, top to bottom

Agentic analytics composes five layers with clear responsibilities. Intent flows down from the user to the warehouse; results and reasoning flow back up. Pick a layer to go deeper.

Where work happens

Six entry points. Learn is the main reading path; the others are reference, calendar, evaluation, writing, and self-assessment.

Analytics open source, by layer

Curated repositories focused on analytics, BI, and the layers of the agentic analytics stack. General-purpose agent frameworks are excluded here; they're covered in the orchestration layer page.
